Who We Are
Epic Ventures ATV Tours in Georgia was formed by four Veterans that shared a common goal outside of serving their country. They wanted to offer other Veterans and other explorers a unique and exciting way to see some of the most incredible views the state has to offer. Our adventures will leave you speechless and inspire a story in you. Call our professional and fun staff to learn more. We can’t wait to help you find your story.
Each driver and/or rider will participate in a vehicle Operations and Safety Briefing by your trained Epic Ventures guide. Once you’re signed in and your paperwork has been finalized, your guide will take you step by step through our safety and operating instructions. This information can be found in the Documents section of our website. Please have the Safety Briefing and Operating Instruction forms and your Epic Ventures Participation Agreement printed and filled out prior to your arrival. This will make it easier for all and give us more time to enjoy the ride.
The safety and operating instructions will include:
Operations of the ATVs, such as braking, throttle/gas, speed, riding formations, communications, trail conditions, wildlife, safety accessories, and the do’s and don’ts to make this a fun, safe experience for all.
Your safety is our utmost concern!
All our ATVs are licensed for off-road travel and insured.
DO YOU TRAVEL WITH YOUR DOGS? WOULD THEY ENJOY SUCH A COOL ACTIVITY AND WANT TO BE PART OF THE FUN?
Your 4-legged friends are welcome to come along. Certain restrictions do apply, so please call to discuss.
Yes! But this is not a zoo, so animals are not guaranteed! We have seen deer, raccoons, red fox, rabbits, wild turkeys, and different birds on our trails. Morning and late afternoon tours, when the light is low, usually have the best chance of seeing animals.
The short answer is Yes.
All ATVs and SxS's are open vehicles and riders are exposed to the elements. All ATV trails are dirt trails so on dry days, trails will be dusty and when it is raining, trails will be muddy. It is not uncommon to get dirty/muddy/wet on tour! Much of it depends on how fast you are driving, whether you are leaving a large enough distance between yourself and the ATV in front of you, if you are driving through the puddles, or if you are speeding through the river beds. You do not have to walk away from the tour wet and covered in mud, but if you want to, it is possible!
Raingear is provided at the launch when it is raining and SxS's are covered with a roof, windshield, and half doors. Water may come in through the floorboards of the SxS, but it can drain out.
There are designated stopping points during each tour, at scenic areas and overlooks. If the tour sees deer or other animals, the tour can stop to take pictures. At any point during your tour, if you need to stop, simply alert a guide.
Yes, the Liability Form must be signed by the 16 year old and the parent/guardian in the Epic Ventures ATV Office before the tour departs. Alternatively, the Liability form can be printed out, signed, and faxed into the Epic Ventures ATV office prior to the tour departure.
No. You must be 16 to drive your own ATV – it’s a state law.
No experience is necessary to take the Single ATVs or SxS's on our tours. Every rider must go through a safety course that mimics some of the trail conditions before heading out to the trails. If you are feeling uncomfortable with your ATV during the pre-trail training time, simply alert the guides.
The SxS's are very easy to drive because they drive just like a car!
If you have brought your own ATV, you can follow any of our tours at a reduced cost. Please call the Epic Ventures ATV Office at 205-821-0118 to make arrangements.
All tours with Epic Ventures are guided. Your tour group will be comprised of people with various skills and riding abilities. The tour guides will assess the speed that is best and safest for the tour group. Custom, private tours are available.
Smaller animals are more skittish and harder to spot in the brush.
